Core Migration

Migrating to a new core is one of the most daunting activities a bank’s management team will face. The data migration requires complete flexibility from the target core banking system but also a willingness from the bank to question some of their existing processes. It is an opportunity to improve what they have by taking advantage of the additional capabilities offered by the new core system.

A key project for us was taking Allica Bank’s multi-billion pound savings book and moving it from their legacy core to SaaScada. The wider business case wasn’t just about recreating the products and processes already available but also the opportunities offered by our core to expand their savings offering and improve business processes. Paul Payne, CTO, explains more about the migration process in this video.
